Send your monsters into battle

Banben Fight: Horror Garten is a free game of strategy that is appropriate for all ages. The player must assemble a team of monsters and send them to fight an enemy team. Some will fight hand-to-hand, while others launch projectiles.

The game features a cast of weird characters that you might recognize from other titles. For example, the ghostly train from Choo Choo Charles turns up, and so does the mechanical monster seen in Hunt N Seek: Survival Rainbow.

Position your fighters and begin the battle

Each level in Banben Fight: Horror Garten begins with a grid of fifteen squares along the bottom, and your enemies are located at the top. The player must buy fighters and position them on the grid. When you're happy with the placing, you can start the fight. Both sides will then automatically attack each other.

Upgrade your monsters

Although the game has many different monsters, these fall into two main categories. One type will run toward the opponents and attack face-to-face, while the other will stand still and shoot projectiles. If you have two of the same type, you can merge them together to create a stronger monster in the same category.

A strange assortment of monsters

You may have trouble keeping track of the different monsters, as the upgraded versions often bear no resemblance to their previous selves. Likewise, the monster names seem to have been chosen at random. Silver Skull is a green monster with no visible skull, Horrible Glasses is a bird without glasses, and Naive Duck is a laser-shooting jellyfish.

A simple game of strategy

Banben Fight: Horror Garten lacks challenge. Even if you lose, you'll be given points that can be spent on new forces. A tricky level becomes a matter of losing until you have earned enough to buy a decent-sized army, at which point you will win, regardless of your strategy.

PROS

  • A variety of monster designs
  • Appropriate for all ages

CONS

  • Too easy
  • Backgrounds are sparse
